Two of the eight page story that I did for the Marvel’s anthology STRANGE TALES II. It is the main story of VOL. II and I have to say that I’m really proud of it. I did the script, art and colors – a tentative for a new vision for the palette of the 80’s comics. It is a “mutant wrestler” story (could be cool if it was a genre, huh?), very violent and “sweet” at the same time. Thanks to Marvel’s editor Jody LeHeup for the invitation, Daniel Galera and Ivan Brandon to help me with the translation of the script from portuguese to english ( yeah, in Brazil we speak portuguese, not spanish ; ). to Jose Villarrubia, that made the first version of the colors, to my friend Rafa Coutinho, that did the handmade part of the lettering in the balloons and helped my with the color separation ( Bro, you’ve saved my life!) Aqui, duas das oito páginas da minha história para a antoogia STRANGE TALES II, da MARVEL COMICS. Preciso dizer que fiquei muito orgulhoso dessa história, feliz com o roteiro que escrevi. Me empenhei na arte e experimentei nas cores – uma tentativa de revisitação moderna para a palette das HQs dos anos 80. A história é uma espécie de “luta livre mutante”, algo que eu adoraria que fosse um gênero, já pensou? Quero agradecer ao editor da Marvel Jody LeHeup pelo convite, aos brothers Daniel Galera e Ivan Brandon por ajudarem na tradução. Ao meu irmão Rafa Coutinho que virou noite comigo pra acabar as cores e que também fez um trampo FODA nas letras dos balões – tem uma parte que não está no preview que ele fez a mão. Não sei se a Panini vai publicar no Brasil, ams se você quiser muito conferir, acho que rola pedir pelo Amazon.
