I did this piece last week for a BATMAN’s 70th Birthday exhibition. My version of the cape crusade is a little bit based on the Batman of the 60′s TV series. For Robin I tried to make a new version of the character based on the 40′s TV series.
Batman was the first comic character I drew when I was 3 years old. I always watched the 60′s TV series and I was totally crazy about it. This character was very important in my dream and decision to be a comic book artist when I was a kid.

Fiz essa ilustração para uma exposição de comemoração dos 70 anos do Batman, que completa 70 anos nesse mês de Maio. Tentei me basear no Batman do seriado dos anos 60. Quando eu tinha uns três anos de idade, passava na televisão a tarde e eu adorava aquilo. O primeiro super-herói que eu desenhei foi o Batman e eu tenho um certo carinho por esse personagem até hoje. Já o Robim, me baseei no visual do personagem da série dos anos 40.
Parabéns pro morcegão.

Ficou dazora o Bats, essa capa dele me lembrou um poouco a que o Lee Bermejo faz, com esse lance meio couro custurado mas flexível… E não sei porque, a corrente no batarangue me fez lembrar do Scorpion
